Women and Men in Kosovo, 2020/2021
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the report on "Women and Men in Kosovo" for the years 2020/2021.
The statistical data presented in the publication "Women and Men in Kosovo, 2020/2021" are long-term and short-term analyses, which reflect the gender situation in Kosovo, according to the sectors of economic and social life.
For the preparation of this publication, all sources of available data have been used, which provide complete statistical information to assist in the perception of the gender situation.
The publication "Women and Men in Kosovo" is published every two years and contains the following chapters: Population, Health and Welfare, Education, Social Protection, Jurisprudence, Labour Market, Income and Decision Making.
The statistical information presented in the publication "Women and Men in Kosovo 2020/2021" presents some important facts about some indicators: The coefficient of masculinity was 107.9 for men and 100 for women (higher than the general ratio of the gender ratio of population); The average age of married couple in 2021 was 29 years: 27 years for women and 30 years for men; Fertility data has fallen, compared to previous years, from 3 children per woman in 2003 to 2 children per woman in 2020; The employment rate for women was 14.1%, while for men 42.8%; and the unemployment rate for women in 2020 was 32.3% versus 23.5% for men.
