The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Transport and Telecommunications Statistics" in the first quarter of 2021 (Q1 2021), with data on air, rail, road transport and telecommunications.

In the territory of Kosovo there are a total of 333 km of railway tracks for transport.

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, the number of passengers who used the train as a means of travel was about 16 thousand, which compared to Q1 of 2020, the number of passengers decreased by (-21.34%).

The transport of good (freight transport) by train in Q1 2021 was about 187 thousand tons, which compared to Q1 2020 there is an increase by 85%.

In terms of the number of flights, in Q1 2021 were 1 317 flights, which compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2021) there is a decrease by (-14.14%). The number of passengers who have used the aircraft as a means of transport was about 330 thousand, which compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2021) there is a decrease by (-23.44%).
