The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the Transport and Telecommunication Statistics in the third quarter of 2022 (Q3 2022) with data on air, rail, road transport and telecommunication.

In the territory of Kosovo there are a total of 333 km of railway tracks for transport.

In the third quarter (Q3) of 2022, the number of passengers who used the train as a means of travel was about 18 thousand, where compared to the third quarter (Q3) of 2021 the number of passengers has increased by 56%. The transport of goods (freight transport) by train in Q3 2022 was about 21 thousand tonnes.

In terms of the number of flights in Q3 2022, it was 3 423, compared to the same quarter last year (Q3 2021) there is a decrease by 3%.

The number of passengers who used the aircraft as a means of transport was about 988 thousand, which compared to the same quarter of last year (Q3 2021) there is an increase by 9.8%.
