The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Transport and Telecommunication Statistics" in Q1 2019, with data on air, rail, road transportation and telecommunication.

In the territory of Kosovo, there are a total of 333 km of railway tracks for transport. In the first quarter of 2019, the number of passengers who used the train as a travel mean is 30 thousand; compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2018), the number of passengers increased by 65%.

Freight transport by train in the first quarter of 2019 is 137 thousand tons; compared with the same quarter last year (Q1 2018) there is an increase by 80%.

Regarding the number of flights in the first quarter of 2019, there were 1 783 flights or 14.29% more than in the same quarter last year (Q1 2018). Whereas, the number of passengers who used the aircraft as a means of transport during this quarter is about 480 thousand; compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2018) there is an increase by 13.96%.
