The Kosovo Agency of Statistics, headed by Mr. Ilir T. Berisha, Acting Chief Executive and the head of the Czech Statistical Office, Mr. Marek Rojíček, General Director, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Both parties establish a cooperation in support of a series of activities and promote the establishment of objectives and procedures for mutual cooperation for the exchange of information and the exchange of views and experience in order to facilitate the development and implementation of joint statistical activities.

The purpose of this Memorandum is the voluntary expression of intent of the Participants to work together in the area of statistics in order to promote knowledge efficiency.

The Memorandum creates a general framework and provisions for an efficient co-operation. It supports a variety of activities and promotes settings of objectives and procedures of mutual co-operation for sharing information and exchanging views and experiences in order to facilitate developments and implementation of common statistical activities with reference to more efficient statistical production and adaptation to acquis standards of the EU.
