Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "The Jurisprudence Statistics for Adult Persons in 2016".

This publication provides statistical data on adults, accused and convicted offenders, as well as persons convicted for misdemeanor, in 2016.

This publication contains data on these indicators: the manner of resolving the indictment, the submitter of the indictment, gender, the nationality of the perpetrator and the type of conviction.

According to the results of this publication, it appears that: 27 631 persons have been indicted in the Basic Courts and their branches, with 17 859 persons sentenced by a sentencing verdict. Of the total number of convicts, 848 are females.

While, there were 193 085 convicts convicted for misdemeanor in 2016, of whom 188 229 were convicted for traffic offense.
