The Kosovo Agency of Statistics has published the Statistical Repertoire on Economic Enterprises in Kosovo in the fourth quarter of 2020 (Q4 2020).

In the fourth quarter of 2020 (Q4 2020) a total of 2 868 enterprises were registered. Compared to the previous quarter (Q3 2020) there is an increase by 10.60% of registered enterprises. Whereas, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (Q4 2019) there is an increase by 11.76% of registered enterprises.

The most favorable economic activities during this quarter were: Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles with 728 registered enterprises (25.4%); Manufacturing with 354 registered enterprises (12.3%); Professional, scientific and technical activities with 286 registered enterprises (10%); Accommodation and food service activities with 275 registered enterprises (9.6%); Construction with 268 registered enterprises

In the category with 1 to 4 employees were a total of 1 141 enterprises registered in this quarter (96.7%); in the category with 5 to 9 employees were 63 registered enterprises (2.2%); in the category with 10 to 19 employees were 21 registered enterprises (0.7%); in the category with 20 to 249 employees were 11 registered enterprises (0.4%); while in the category with 250 and more employees, there were no enterprises registered in this quarter.

Regarding the geographical distribution of registered enterprises at the municipal level, as in every quarter, the municipality of Prishtina dominates with 897 registered enterprises (31.3%); Ferizaj with 254 registered enterprises (8.9%); Prizren with 200 registered enterprises (7.0%); Gjilan with 161 registered enterprises (5.6%); Peja with 132 registered enterprises (4.6%); and Fushë Kosova with 126 registered enterprises (4.4%). Other municipalities have a smaller number of enterprises registered in this quarter.
