The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Social Welfare Statistic” for the month of September 2022.

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

According to the results of this publication, it results that in the month of September 2022: from the social assistance scheme have benefited 24 169 families with a total of 95 478 members; and 2 776 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 140 800 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 48 456 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 311 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 61 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 1 803 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 276 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 677 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 823 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 998 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 537 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 148 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 36 780 beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, in the month of September 2022, 2 children were abandoned.
