The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Social Welfare Statistics” in the fourth quarter of 2021 (Q4 2021).

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

In Q4 2021, according to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 25 895 families with a total of 102 904 members; and 2 460 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 141 162 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 49 872 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 545 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 68 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2 028 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 223 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 625 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 460 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 903 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 662 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 293 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 36 804 beneficiaries. While from the scheme of civilian victims are 1 023 beneficiaries.

In this quarter there were 4 abandoned children.
