Social Welfare Statistics, Q4 2019
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Social Welfare Statistics” in Q4 2019.
This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs, family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.
According to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 24 353 families with a total of 98,756 members; and 2,276 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.
Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 133,917 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 47,486 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3,940 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 108 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2,635 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1,098 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 546 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1,976 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 17,791 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 3,106 beneficiaries.
Whereas, the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 417 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 38,101 beneficiaries.
In Q4 2019 there were 3 abandoned children.
