Social Welfare Statistics, Q3 2021

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Social Welfare Statistics” in the third quarter of 2021 (Q3 2021).

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

In Q3 2021, according to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 25 514 families with a total of 101 621 members; and 2 521 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 141 099 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 48 636 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 542 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 72 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2 086 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 212 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 615 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 816 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 19 023 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 693 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 361 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 36 920 beneficiaries. While from the scheme of civilian victims are 970 beneficiaries.

In this quarter there were 3 abandoned children.
