The number of families from the social assistance scheme is increasing
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Social Welfare Statistics” in Q3 2020.
This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs, family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.
According to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 24 496 families with a total of 98 990 members; and 2 333 families have benefited from the scheme material support for families with children with special needs.
Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 142 058 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 49 541 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 629 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 87 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2 390 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 145 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 581 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 915 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 565 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 891 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 586 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 38 156 beneficiaries.
There were 8 abandoned children.
