Social Welfare Statistics, Q2 2021

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Social Welfare Statistics” in the second quarter of 2021 (Q2 2021).

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

In Q2 2021, according to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 25 805 families with a total of 102 958 members; and 2 496 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 144 587 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 49 403 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 606 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has  74 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2 168 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 205 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 607 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 790 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 983 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 602 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 416 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 37 892 beneficiaries. While from the scheme of civilian victims are 934 beneficiaries.

In Q2 2021 there were 4 abandoned children.
