Social Welfare Statistics, Q2 2019
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Social Welfare Statistics” in Q2 2019.
This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries from the scheme of social assistance, the basic age pension scheme, age contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs, family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.
According to the results of this publication, it results that from the social assistance scheme have benefited 24 767 families with a total of 100 995 members; and 2 124 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.
Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 129 267 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 46 513 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 932 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 105 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 2 752 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 071 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 541 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 924 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 17 323 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 3 105 beneficiaries.
Whereas, the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 150 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 38 052 beneficiaries.
In Q2 2019 there were 12 abandoned children.
