The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Social Welfare Statistic” for the month of October 2022.

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

According to the results of this publication, it results that in the month of October 2022: from the social assistance scheme have benefited 23 661 families with a total of 93 451 members; and 2 748 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile, the basic age pension scheme has 143 144 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 48 320 beneficiaries; from the scheme for war veterans there are 36 766 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 924 beneficiaries; the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 036 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 300 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 575 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 847 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 1 773 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 271 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 687 beneficiaries; and the scheme for disability pensions has 60 beneficiaries.

In the month of October 2022, no cases of abandoned children were reported.
