The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Social Welfare Statistic” for the month of July 2022.

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

According to the results of this publication, it results that in the month of July 2022: from the social assistance scheme have benefited 25 088 families with a total of 98 832 members; and 2 811 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile the basic age pension scheme has 151 812 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 50 303 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 335 beneficiaries; the scheme for disability pensions has 63 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 1 839 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 259 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 670 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 782 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 18 585 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 543 beneficiaries - the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 170 beneficiaries and the scheme for war veterans has 36 750 beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, in the month of July 2022, 2 children were abandoned.
