The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Social Welfare Statistic” for the month of December 2022.

This publication provides data on the number of beneficiaries of the social assistance scheme, the basic age pension scheme, age-contribution-payer pension, pension scheme for persons with special needs / disabilities, the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic, the scheme for material support for families with children with permanent special needs,  family pension scheme, disability pension scheme, pension scheme for families of martyrs, war invalids and war veterans, “Trepca” pension scheme, pension scheme for the Kosovo Protection Corps, pension scheme of the Kosovo Security Forces, the compensation scheme for blind persons, data on the number of abandoned children, etc.

According to the results of this publication, it results that in the month of December 2022: from the social assistance scheme have benefited 22 980 families with a total of 90 806 members; and 2 921 families have benefited from the scheme for material support for families with children with special needs.

Meanwhile, the basic age pension scheme has 144 015 beneficiaries; age pension contribution scheme has 48 428 beneficiaries; from the scheme for war veterans there are 36 825 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for persons with special needs has 19 419 beneficiaries; the scheme for families of martyrs and war invalids has 13 067 beneficiaries; the family pension scheme has 3 304 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for paraplegic and tetraplegic persons has 2 542 beneficiaries; the compensation scheme for blind persons has 1 855 beneficiaries; the Trepça pension scheme has 1 736 beneficiaries; the Kosovo Protection Corps pension scheme has 1 281 beneficiaries; the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force has 699 beneficiaries; and the scheme for disability pensions has 60 beneficiaries.

Whereas, during the month of December 2022, it was recorded of 1 child abandoned.
