The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published Short-term Industry Statistics by presenting the industrial volume index in Q4 2020 (2017 = 100).

With the data it provides, this survey aims to present the performance in the industry: B – Mining and Quarrying, C – Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in quarterly periods in order to understand the cycle of development in the industry.

In the fourth quarter of 2020 (Q4 2020), compared to the third quarter (Q3) 2020, there was an increase in the sector of Mining industry (B) by 98.71%; Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 31.54%; and Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation (E) activities by 21.76%.

Whereas there was a decrease in the Manufacturing sector (C) by (-13.16%).

Compared the Q4 2020 with the same quarter of the previous year (Q4 2019), there was an increase in the sector of Mining industry (B) by 7.50%; Electricity, steam and air conditioning supply sector (D) by 3.69%; and in the Manufacturing sector (C) by 2.77%.

Whereas, there was a decrease in the sector of Water supply, waste management and treatment activities (E) by (-13.71%).
