The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the results of Short-term Industry Statistics by presenting the Industrial Volume Index in Q4 2018 (2017 = 100).

With the data it provides, this survey aims to present the industry performance in: B – Mining and Quarrying, C – Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in quarterly periods through which to understand the cycle of development in the industry.

In the fourth quarter of 2018 (Q4 2018), compared to the third quarter (Q3 2018), there was an increase in: Electricity, gas and air conditioning supply (D) by 26.65%; Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by 3.68%; and Manufacturing industry (C) by 1.67%.

While, there was a decrease in the Mining industry (B) by (-4.53%).

Meanwhile, compared the Q4 2018 with the same quarter of the previous year (Q4 2017), there was an increase in the sector of: Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 11.04%.

While, the decrease was in the sector of: Mining industry (B) by (-15.29%); Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by (-9.42%); as well as in the Manufacturing industry (C) by (-3.61%).
