Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Short Term Industry Statistics" for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2016. This survey provides data that intends to introduce performance in the industry (B - Quarrying, C - Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, management and waste treatment) on quarterly basis through which to understand the development of the industry cycle.

In the fourth quarter (Q4) compared to the third quarter (Q3) of 2016, there was an increase: 46.7% in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D); 28.6% in Mining and Quarrying (B); and 18.8% in Water supply, management and waste treatment (E). While the decline was in the section of Manufacturing industry (C) of (-2.8%).

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year (Q4 2015), there has been an increase to: Water supply, management and waste treatment (E) with 43.5%; Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) with 14.8%; and Manufacturing (C) with 1.2%. While there was a decrease to Extractive industry (B) to (-13.5%).
