The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released Short-term Industry Statistics by presenting the industrial volume index in Q3 2021 (2017 = 100).

With the data it provides, this survey aims to present the performance in the industry: B – Mining and Quarrying, C – Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in quarterly periods in order to understand the cycle of development in the industry.

In the third quarter of 2021 (Q3 2021), compared to the second quarter of 2021 (Q2 2021), there was an increase in the sectors of water supply, waste management and treatment activities (E) by 14.14%; manufacturing (C) by 13.28%; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 12.56%; and in the mining industry (B) by 9.91%.

Compared the Q3 2021 with the same period of 2020 (Q3 2020), there was an increase in the sector of mining industry (B) by 111.54%; water supply, waste management and treatment activities (E) by 72.91%; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 36.86%; and in the manufacturing sector (C) by 3.33%.
