The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published Short-term Industry Statistics by presenting the industrial volume index in Q2 2021 (2017 = 100).

With the data it provides, this survey aims to present the performance in the industry: B – Mining and Quarrying, C - Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in quarterly periods in order to understand the cycle of development in the industry.

In the second quarter of 2021 (Q2 2021), compared to the first quarter of 2021 (Q1 2021), there is an increase in the sectors of manufacturing (C) by 36.57%; mining and quarrying (B) by 33.61%; and Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by 26.10%.

Whereas, there was a decrease in the sector of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by (-13.72%).

Compared the Q2 2021 with the same period of the previous year (Q2 2020), there is an increase in the sector of Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by 75.20%; manufacturing (C) by 43.56%; mining industry (B) by 12.69%; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 9.56%.
