The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the results of the “Short-term Industry Statistics” by presenting the Industrial Volume Index in Q2 2020 (2017 = 100).

With the data that provides, this survey aims to present the performance in the industry: B – Mining and Quarrying, C – Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in quarterly periods in order to understand the cycle of development in the industry.

Compared to Q2 2020 with Q1 2020, there was an increase in the sector of Mining industry (B) by 36.42% and Manufacturing industry (C) by 13.48%. Whereas, there was a decrease in the sector of Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by (-30.84%) and in the sector of Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (E) by (-14.89%).

Compared the Q2 2020 with the same quarter of the previous year (Q2 2019), there was an increase in the sector of Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (D) by 7.43% and in the sector of Mining industry (B) by or 4.27%. Whereas, there was a decrease in the Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (E) by (-36.38%) and in the Manufacturing industry (C) by (-16.89%).
