Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Short Term Industry Statistics" for the second quarter (Q2) of 2016. This survey provides data that aims to show the evolution in the industry (B - Quarrying, C - Manufacturing, D - Supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, and E - Water supply, activities of waste management and treatment) on quarterly basis through which to understand the development of the industry cycle.

Compared the second quarter (Q2) with the first quarter (Q1) of 2016, there was an increase of: Mining and quarrying (B) with 32.8%; Manufacturing (C) with 27.4%; and Water supply, activities of waste management and treatment (E) with 6.5%. While the decline had only sector of Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (D) by 6.1%.

However, compared with the same quarter of the previous year (Q2 2015), there was an increase of: Supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (D) with 30.8%; Mining and quarrying (B) 13.9%; as well as Water supply, activities of waste management and treatment (E) with 3.8%. While there was a decrease in: Manufacturing (C) with (7.5%).
