The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the Short-term Industry Statistics by presenting the industrial volume index for the month of December 2022 (2020=100).

With the data it provides, this publication aims to present the progress in the industry: B – Mining and Quarrying, C – Manufacturing, D - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and E - Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities, in monthly periods in order to understand the cycle of development in industry.

In December 2022, compared to the same month of the previous year (December 2021), the turnover index in the industry sectors was: Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (1.10%); Mining and quarrying (0.41%); Manufacturing industry (0.18%); while there was a decrease in the Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector (-0.23%).

Meanwhile, the index of the number of employees in the industry sectors, compared to the same month of the previous year (December 2021), was: Water supply, sewerage waste management and remediation activities (0.00%); Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-0.03%); Manufacturing industry (-0.04%); Mining and quarrying (-0.06%).
