Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Output Price Index and Prices in Agriculture" (Q4- 2016) (2010 = 100).

To make comparisons and to observe changes are presented data for the first quarters (Q4) of the years 2010-2016

This publication is based on collection of prices for agriculture domestic products in Kosovo. Data collection is done at markets, farms and other places where prices on agriculture products are available.

Products, which form the basis for the price index of agricultural products, are divided into two main groups: Crop and Livestock. Within Crop Output, prices are collected under the following groups: cereals, fodder, vegetables, potatoes and fruit.

In Livestock products prices are collected for animals and animal products. For Livestock, prices are collected for four categories of animals: cows, sheep, pigs and chickens. These prices are based on live weight of the animal. Within livestock products prices are collected for milk, eggs and honey. All prices are calculated in Euro and the measurement unit is in kg, liter and piece.

In the fourth quarter of 2016 the price index of livestock products has increased (0.8%) compared with the same period of 2015, while the price index for crop output has increased (1.9%).

The overall index of agricultural products has increased (1.3%) compared with the same period of 2015.
