Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Output Price Index and Prices in Agriculture" for 2015-2017 (2015 = 100)

According to the Eurostat methodology, KAS has changed the base year of the index from 2010 = 100 to 2015 = 100.

To make comparisons and to observe the changes, here are presented data for the years 2015-2017 and for the base year 2015 (2015 = 100).

This publication is based on the collection of prices of domestic agricultural products in Kosovo. Data collection is done on the markets, farms, and other places where agricultural output prices can be collected.

The products that make up the base for the agricultural output price index are divided into two main groups: Crop and Animal outputs. Within crop outputs, prices have been collected for these groups: cereals, forage plants, vegetables, potatoes and fruits.

In animal outputs, prices have been collected for animals and animal outputs. Within animals, prices are collected for four categories of animals: cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. These prices are based on live weight of animals. Within animal outputs, prices are collected for: milk, eggs and honey. All prices are calculated in Euros, while the units are in: kg, liter and pieces.

In 2017, the annual crop price index has increased by 4.0% compared to 2016. The animal outputs price index has increased by 2.2% in 2017, compared to 2016. The total price index of agricultural outputs has increased by 3.0% for this period.

In 2017, the annual crop price index has increased by 1.0% compared to 2015. Meanwhile, the animal outputs price index has increased by 1.8% in 2017 compared to 2015. The total price index of agricultural outputs has increased by 1.4% in 2017, compared with 2015.
