Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Output Price Index and Prices in Agriculture" for the years 2010-2016 (2010 = 100).

To make comparisons and to observe changes, here are presented data for the years 2010-2016 and for the base year 2010.

This publication is based on collection of prices for domestic products in Kosovo. Data collection is done at markets, farms and other places where prices on agriculture products are available.

Products, which form the basis for the price index of agricultural products, are divided into two main groups: crop and livestock products. Within crop output, prices are collected under the following groups: cereals, fodder, vegetables, potatoes and fruit.

In livestock products prices are collected for animals and animal products. For livestock, prices are collected for four categories of animals: cows, sheep, pigs and chickens. These prices are based on live weight of the animal. Within livestock products prices are collected for: milk, eggs and honey. All prices are calculated in Euro and the measurement unit is in kg, liter and piece.

In 2016, the annual index for Crop Output has decreased (-4.4%) compared with 2015. Meanwhile, the price index for livestock products has decreased (-1.1%) in 2016 compared with 2015. The price index for agricultural products has decreased (-2.6%) for this period.

In 2016, annual index of crop products has increased to 11.1%, compared with 2010. Meanwhile, the price index for livestock products has increased 4.9% in 2016, compared with 2010. Meanwhile, the total annual index of agricultural production has increased by 7.6% in 2016, compared with 2010.
