The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" in Q1 2020. This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, and import and export of other fuels (energy sources).

In the first quarter of 2020 (Q1 2020) the total value of coal production is about 2.3 million tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in power plants is 1,817.1 GWh, and in hydropower plants is about 68.1 GWh.

Regarding the imported and exported of energy values in the first quarter of 2020, Kosovo imported 931.4 GWh of electricity, while during the same period it exported 763.3 GWh of electricity.

In the first quarter of 2020, the amount of electricity consumed was 1,330.7 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2019), the amount of electricity consumed has increased by 6.4%.
