The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Jurisprudence Statistics for Adult Persons" in 2019.

This publication provides statistical data on adult persons accused and convicted of criminal offenses as well as persons convicted for minor offenses in 2019.

This publication contains data on these indicators: by the manner of resolving the indictment, by the motion for indictment, by gender, by nationality of the perpetrator and the type of punishment.

According to the results of this publication, in the basic courts of the Republic of Kosovo in 2019 were indicted 29 405 adult persons. The largest number of defendants was in the Basic Court of Prishtina with a total of 5 954 persons, or 20.2% of the total number.

Out of a total of 29 405 accused persons, 17 315 of them were convicted, or 58.9% of the accused. The largest number of convicts was also in the Basic Court of Prishtina, with a total of 2 757 persons, or 15.9% of the total number.
