The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Jurisprudence Statistics for Adult Persons in 2018".

This publication provides statistical data on adult persons accused and convicted of criminal offenses as well as persons convicted for minor offenses in 2018.

This publication contains data on these indicators: by the manner of resolving the indictment, by the motion for indictment, by gender, by nationality of the perpetrator and the type of punishment.

According to the results of this publication, it results that 28 696 persons have been indicted in the Basic Courts and their branches, with 19 721 persons convicted by a sentencing verdict. Out of the total number of convicts, 1 011 are females.

Compared to 2017, the number of accused or indicted in 2018 is higher by 1 990 persons or expressed in percentage by 7.4%. Whereas, the number of convicted is higher by 968 persons or 5.2% compared to 2017.
