Input Price Index and Prices in Agriculture, Q2 2017
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Input Price Index and Prices in Agriculture" for the second quarter of this year (Q2 2017) (2010 = 100).
The publication is based on prices of agricultural inputs collected in Kosovo. Some prices of agricultural inputs are received at KAS from consumer prices (HICPs).
The products that make up the base for Input Price Index are divided into two main groups: Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (Input 1) and Goods and services that contribute to investment in agriculture (Input 2). Within the group of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture, prices are collected according to the following groups: seeds and fertilizer, energy, oil, fertilizers and soil improvers, plant protection products and pesticides, veterinary expenses, food stuffs for animals, maintenance of materials, maintenance of buildings, as well as other goods and services. Regarding Input 2, goods and services that contribute to agricultural investments, prices are collected for materials (machinery and other equipment), buildings (farm buildings, other works, other than land improvement, other buildings, their structure) and other.
