Input Price Index and Prices in Agriculture, 2015-2017
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Input Price Index and Prices in Agriculture for the period 2015-2017”.
To make comparisons and to observe the changes, here are presented data for the years 2015-2017 and for the base year 2015.
The publication is based on the prices of agricultural inputs collected in Kosovo. Price collection has been carried out in agricultural pharmacies, veterinary pharmacies, companies, markets and elsewhere where agricultural input prices are available. Some prices of agricultural inputs are obtained from consumer prices (HICP) at KAS.
The products, which form the basis for the Input Price Index are divided into two main groups: Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (Input 1) and Goods and services that contribute to investment in agriculture (Input 2). Within the group of Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture, prices are collected according to the following groups: seeds and fertilizers, energy; oils, fertilizers and soil improvers, plant protection products and pesticides, veterinary expenses, foodstuffs for animals, maintenance of materials, maintenance of buildings, and other goods and services. Regarding the Goods and services that contribute to investment on agriculture, prices are collected for materials (machinery and other equipment), buildings and other (non-residential farm buildings, other works other than soil improvement).
