Import Price Index (IPI), Q2 2022
The total import price index in Kosovo increased by 4.6% in Q2 2022 compared to Q1 2022. Compared to Q2 2021, import prices increased by an average of 23.3%.
Import prices in Kosovo increased by an average of 4.6% in Q2 2022 compared to Q1 2022. Largest price increases by sector were in mineral products (16.2%), edible oils (13.6%), plastics, rubber and articles thereof (7.7 %), articles of stone, mortar, ceramic and glass products (6.8 %), wood and articles thereof (4.2%), plant products (3.0 %), machinery equipment and electrical equipment (2.8 % ), live animals; animal outputs (2.7 %), base metals and articles thereof (2.6 %), footwear (2.4 %), products of chemical industry (1.6 %), paper and articles thereof (1.3 %), means of transport (1.2 %), textiles and textile articles (0.9 %), prepared foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco (0.8 %) and miscellaneous manufactured items (0.3%)
The increase was mainly offset by the decrease in prices by sector of leather and articles thereof (-3.1%) and optical, photographic, measuring, medical, musical instruments and clock mechanisms (-0.6%).
Import prices in Kosovo increased by an average of 23.3% between Q2 2022 and Q2 2021. The largest increases by sector were in mineral products (46.3%), base metals and articles thereof (46.2%), articles of stone, mortar, ceramic and glass products (34.6 %), wood and articles thereof (27.7 %), edible oils (21.3%), vegetable products (16.0 %), plastics, rubber and articles thereof (10.2 %), live animals; animal outputs (9.4%), means of transport (8.6 %), textiles and articles thereof (7.0 %), machinery and electrical equipment (6.7 %), optical, photographic, measuring, medical, musical instruments and clock mechanisms (5.8 %), prepared foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco (5.4 %), various manufactured items (3.1%), chemical industry products (2.7 %) and footwear (0.6 %).
The increase was mainly offset by the decrease in prices by sectors of leather and articles thereof (-5.9 %) and paper and articles thereof (-0.1 %).
