Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Q3 2016

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) for the third quarter (Q3) 2016 by economic activity and by expenditure approach at current and constant prices.

GDP in Q3 2016 marks the real growth by 3.8% compared with Q3 of 2015.

The real growth of GDP by economic activity is as follows: mining and quarrying by 9.6%; financial and insurance activities by 9.3%; hotels and restaurants by 7.5%; wholesale and retail trade by 4.9%; agriculture, hunting, forestry 0.7%; other services 0.5%; and the operation of real estate 0.1%.

Meanwhile, the real drop was in the following data: construction (4.0%); supply of electricity, water and waste treatment (3.3%); processing industry (2.2%); public administration (0.9%); and transport and storage (0.5%).

GDP by expenditure approach has been growing in: final consumption expenditure of households and non-profit institutions in the service of households with 6.8%; gross capital formation by 1.1%; imports of goods and services by 5.1%; and the export of goods and services 2.5%.

Meanwhile, the real decline was in the final consumption expenditure of government (2.0%).
