Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by expenditure and production approach, Q3 2022
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released data of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the third quarter (Q3) of 2022, by economic activities and by expenditure approach, at current prices and prices of the previous year.
GDP in Q3 2022 marks a real increase by 2.07%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (Q3 2021).
The economic activities that had growth in this quarter were: Financial and insurance activities (12.67%); Scientific, professional and technical activities; Administrative and support services activities (8.61%); Information and communication (8.28%); Arts, entertainment and recreation, household goods production activities for own use and other services (7.49%); Wholesale and retail trade, vehicle and motorcycle repair, Transport and storage, Accommodation and food service activities (4.31%); Mining and manufacturing industry, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, Water supply, waste treatment and management activities and rehabilitation (2.24%); Agriculture, forestry and fishing (2.18%); Real estate activities (1.38%).
Whereas, the economic activities that marked a decline in this quarter were: Construction (-7.78%); Public administration, social security, education and health (-0.48%).
The components of GDP by expenditure method that had an increase were: Export of goods and services (6.30%); Import of goods and services (3.87%); and Final consumption expenditures (2.64%).
Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the Gross capital formation (-2.33%).
