Gross Domestic Product (GDP) according to economic activity and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q4 2016

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2016 by economic activity and expenditure approach at current and constant prices.

GDP in Q4 2016 marks a real growth of 3.0% compared to Q4 2015.

The real growth of GDP by economic activities is as follows: financial and insurance activities (23.5%); electricity supply, water and waste treatment (10.7%); hotels and restaurants (10.5%); agriculture, hunting and forestry (9.2%); extractive industry (8.5%); wholesale and retail trade (6.7%); transport and storage (3.8%); the operation of real estate (1.5%); and construction (0.7%).

Meanwhile, the real drop was to: public administration (1.4%); processing industry (2.8%); and other services (15.6%).

GDP by expenditure approach has been increasing to exports of goods and services (11.1%); gross capital formation (8.3%); imports of goods and services (3.5%); and the costs of final consumption of households and non-profit institutions serving households (NPISHs) (1.4%).

Meanwhile, the real drop was in the Government's final consumption expenditure (2.2%).
