Gross Domestic Product by expenditure and production approach, 2019
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the data of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2019 by economic activities and expenditure approach based on ESA 2010.
GDP at current prices in 2019 was 7 103.8 million Euros. The real growth in 2019 compared to 2018 was 4.94%. Whereas, the GDP per capita in 2019 was 3 986 Euros.
Real growth in 2019 was in the following economic activities: financial and insurance activities (12.1%); public administration and defense, compulsory social security (9.2%); agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing (8.0%); electricity and gas supply (6.5%); transport and storage (6.5%); health and social work activities (6.4%); hotels and restaurants (6.4%); processing industry (5.3%); wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (4.3%); construction (3.5%); mining industry (3.2%); professional, scientific and technical activities (3.1%); education (3.0%); water supply (2.6%); administrative and support activities (2.5%); and real estate business (1.1%).
While, there was a decrease in art, entertainment and recreation (-38.8%).
Meanwhile, the real growth by key components of GDP by expenditure approach in 2019 was: exports of services (20.8%); import of services (19.0%); Government final consumption expenditures (9.6%); gross fixed capital formation (6.8%); export of goods (3.7%): import of goods (2.8%); final consumption expenditures of NSIPSHs (0.6%); and final household consumption expenditures (0.3%).
