Gross Domestic Product by economic activity and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q2 2018
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) for the second quarter of 2018 (Q2 2018) by economic activity and expenditure approach at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q2 of 2018 marks a real increase of 4.7% compared to the Q2 of 2017.
Real GDP growth by economic activity is as follows: Financial and insurance activities (33.1%); Extracting industry (6.5%); Wholesale and retail trade (5.6%); Construction (5.2%); Transport and storage (5.1%); Public administration (5.0%); Hotels and restaurants (3.5%); Real estate business (2.0%); Agriculture, hunting, forestry (0.9%); Manufacturing industry (0.2%).
While, the real decrease was in data of: Electricity, water supply and waste treatment (4.2%).
GDP by expenditure approach has increased in the Gross fixed capital formation (12.2%); Export of goods and services (12%); import of goods and services (11.7%); Government consumption expenditures (4.7%); and Final consumption expenditure and non-profit institutions serving household (NPISHs) (4.4%), compared to the same period of the previous year.
