Gross Domestic Product by economic activities and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q1 2021

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published Gross Domestic Product data in the first quarter of 2021, by economic activities and expenditure approach at current prices and prices of the previous year.

GDP in the first quarter of 2021 marks a real increase by 5.57% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

Economic activities that had growth in this quarter are: information and communication 2.72%; real estate activities 0.37%; arts, entertainment and recreation, other service activities 4.50%; public administration, education and health 12.70%; professional and administrative activities 4.73%; trade, transport, accommodation and food services 1.79%; financial and insurance activities 8.91% and construction 11.49%.

Economic activities that marked a decline in this quarter are: mining, manufacturing, electricity, water supply -0.31 %% and agriculture, forestry and fishing -0.90%.

The components of GDP by expenditure method that had an increase are: gross capital formation 14.90%; exports of goods and services 13.57%; imports of goods and services 17.47% and final consumption expenditures 7.44%.
