GDP by economic activity and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q4 2018
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) in Q4 2018, by economic activity and expenditure approach at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q4 of 2018 marks a real increase by 3.8% compared to Q4 of 2017. Real GDP growth by economic activity is as follows: Financial and insurance activities 32.2%; Electricity, water supply and waste treatment 11.2%; Construction 6.5%; Wholesale and retail trade 6.1%; Manufacturing industry 5.0%; Hotels and restaurants by 4.8%; Agriculture, hunting, forestry 1.7%; Real estate business 1.4%; Transport and storage 1.0%.
Meanwhile, the real decrease was in the following data: Extracting industry (-15.3%); and Public administration (-0.1%).
According to the expenditure approach, GDP has increased in the: Gross fixed capital formation by 9.2%; Exports of goods and services by 7.2%; Import of goods and services by 4.4%; Final consumption expenditure and non-profit institutions serving household (NPISHs) by 2.3%; Government consumption expenditures by 1.1%, compared with the same period of the previous year.
