The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has started to release the Energy statistics on a monthly basis. This is the first release for the reference month of January 2022.

In January 2022, the gross production from: power plants was 525.43 GWh; hydropower plants was 4.35 GWh; and gross output from wind and solar electricity was 38.24 GWh.

Available gross electricity was 869.42 GWh, while electricity consumption was 536.21 GWh, or 4.52% higher than in the same month of the previous year. The share of alternative electricity within total consumption was 7.6%.

Meanwhile, the import of electricity in January 2022 was 412.44 GWh, while the export of electricity was 111.04 GWh.

Coal production was 7.83 thousand tons, or about 26.88% more than in the same month of the previous year.
