The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the “Energy Balance” in Q4 2019. This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as import and export of other fuels.

During the fourth quarter of 2019 (Q4 2019) the total value of coal production is about 2.215.9 thousand tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in power plants is 1,720.5 GWh, and in hydropower plants is about 68.1 GWh.

Regarding the imported and exported of energy values in the fourth quarter of 2019, Kosovo imported 710.3 GWh of electricity, while exported 693.8 GWh of electricity.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, the amount of electricity consumed was 1,200.6 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter last year (Q4 2018), the amount of electricity consumed increased by 3.6%
