Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" for Q2 2017. This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as imports and export of other fuels.

During the second quarter of 2017 (Q2 2017) the total value of coal production is about 1.95 thousand tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in the power plants is 1 599.1 GWh and in the hydro power plants it is 75.4 GWh.

Regarding the imported energy values, respectively exported, during the second quarter of 2017, Kosovo imported 78.5 GWh of electricity, while during the same period, ie TM2 2017, Kosovo has exported 459.7 GWh of electricity.

In the second quarter of 2017, the amount of electricity consumed in Kosovo is 938.9 GWh of electricity. Compared with the same quarter last year (Q2 2016), the amount of electricity consumed increased by 13%.
