Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Energy Balance" for Q2 2016. In this publication are presented data on coal production, the data on production and consumption of energy, the import and export of electricity, as well as import and exports of other energy fuels.

During the second quarter of 2016 (Q2 2016), overall production value of coal is about 2007 million tonnes. Whereas the gross amount of electricity generated in power plants was 1,657.8 GWh, and in hydro power plants is 86.9 GWh.

Regarding the value of imported energy, exported respectively, during the second quarter of 2016, Kosovo has imported 24.9 GWh of electricity, while over the same period, ie (Q2 2016), Kosovo has exported 492.3 GWh of electricity.

In the second quarter of 2016, the amount of electricity consumed in Kosovo is 822.7 GWh of electricity.

In relation to the same quarter last year (Q2 2015), the amount of electricity consumed decreased by 11.7%.
