The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" for Q1 2018. This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as imports and exports of other fuels.

During the first quarter of 2018 (Q1 2018) the total value of coal production was about 1.98 thousand tons, whereas the gross amount of electricity produced in the power plants was 1 657.5 GWh and in the hydro power plants was about 70.0 GWh.

Regarding imported and exported of energy values ​​during the first quarter of 2018, Kosovo imported 119.2 GWh of electricity, while during the same period (Q1 2018) Kosovo exported 106.4 GWh of electricity.

In the first quarter of 2018, the amount of electricity consumed was 1 136.7 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter last year (Q1 2017), the amount of electricity consumed increased by 2.8%.
