Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" for Q1 2017.

This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as import and export of other fuels.

During the first quarter of this year (Q1 2017), the total value of coal production was about 2.10 thousand tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in the power plants is 1,678.4 GWh, and in the hydro power plants is 50.9 GWh.

Regarding the imported energy values, respectively exported, during the first quarter of this year (Q1 2017), Kosovo imported 215.8 GWh of electricity, while during the same period (Q1 2017) Kosovo has exported 141.5 GWh of electricity.

In the first quarter of this year (Q1 2017), the amount of electricity consumed in Kosovo was 1,096.9 GWh of electricity. In relation to the same quarter last year (Q1 2016), the amount of electricity consumed increased by 6.6%.
