The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance in Kosovo" in Q4 2021.

This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, imports and exports of energy, and imports and exports of other energy resources.

During the fourth quarter of 2021 (Q4 2021) the total value of coal production is about 2.36 million tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in power plants is 1 833.05 GWh and alternative energy is about 70.5 GWh.

Regarding the imported and exported of energy values in Q4 2021, Kosovo imported 900.7 GWh of electricity, while during the same period Kosovo exported 548.2 GWh of electricity.

In Q4 2021, the amount of electricity for consumption was 1 421.7 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter of last year (Q4 2020), the amount of electricity consumed has increased by 4.51%.
