The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Energy Balance" in the fourth quarter of 2020 (Q4 2020). This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, imports and exports of energy, as well as imports and exports of other energy fuels (energy resources).

In the fourth quarter of 2020 (Q4 2020) the total value of coal production is about 2.37 million tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in thermal power plants is 1 796.3 GWh, and in hydropower plants is about 51.6 GWh.

Regarding the imported and exported energy values in the fourth quarter of 2020, Kosovo imported 759.0 GWh of electricity, while it exported 597.7 GWh of electricity.

In Q4 2020, the amount of electricity for consumption was 1 360.3 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter last year (Q4 2019), the amount of electricity consumed has increased by 13.31%.
