The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" in the third quarter of 2021 (Q3 2021).

This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, imports and exports of energy, and imports and exports of other energy resources.

During the third quarter of 2021 (Q3 2021) the total value of coal production is about 1.88 million tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced in thermal power plants is 1 358.2 GWh and in hydropower plants is about 41.1 GWh.

Regarding the imported and exported of energy values in this quarter, Kosovo imported 919.9 GWh of electricity, while it exported 841.7 GWh of electricity.

In Q3 2021, the amount of electricity for consumption was 1 125.9 GWh of electricity. Compared to the same quarter of last year (Q3 2020), the amount of electricity consumed has increased by 23.11%.
